WHAT IS THE IDEAL RACE FOR HUNTER2010-03-23 00:00:00The racial for each race matter much less than you picking a toon that you can stand to look at for 60 levels. It's (almost) the same thing for picking pets while growing up, IMO.
But I'll assume you don't care what your hunter looks like. /shrug And try to give you some advice based on my experiences playing hunters of every race.
Pick a night elf if you like having a cat that can can shadowmeld, too, which is perfect for sneaking around dungeons and ambushing people in pvp.
Pick a dwarf if you want to use guns on the alliance side. Or if you want to be a really small target. Stoneform has a variety of uses, too. Or if you just like dwarves (which I don't).
Pick an orc if you like to [try] to do a lot of melee damage, or if you want to max out your pet's damage. Or if you hate getting dazed everytime you turn your back to an enemy (my personal fav race).

Exalted with Lower City now. And my Hunter has never entered another Auchindon instance than Shadow Labs. Done a couple of the Caravan quests, and I guess I got some rep there. But other than that, Shadow Labyrinth. By now, I know it inside out. I can play that instance blindfolded. I have torn through those mobs and bosses so many times I am on a first name basis with every last one of them. And Murmur? He refuses to drop my damned Spear. I'll probably have Legacy any week now, depending on Opera events. Still... Murmur and I have issues to work out.
I could be decked out in full T6. My Melee weapon could be the equivalent of ten Sonic Spears. And I would still hit Shadow Labyrinth. I owe Mur...

Next badge loot I would go for is the leather badge boots. It'd be an AP and hit upgrade over your current boots. You also could probably do better going the relentless earthstorm diamond over your ap meta. I'm also a firm believer in enchanting 15 agi over AP to gloves when you're talking raiding (AP is probably better for pvp).
